About Megan
A native Texan living in the Hudson Valley, Megan Giller is the author of the best-selling book Bean-to-Bar Chocolate: America’s Craft Chocolate Revolution, which won a 2017 Gourmand World Cookbook Award. She writes about the everyday, the extraordinary, and the edible for The New York Times, Slate, Zagat, and Food & Wine. Her blog Chocolate Noise was a 2016 Saveur Food Blog Awards finalist, and her writing for Engadget won honorable mention at the Society for Feature Journalism’s 2020 Excellence in Features Awards. She also appears regularly as a guest expert on TV, radio, and podcasts.
Megan has considered herself a feminist ever since she wrote a pro-choice paper in the fourth grade, and she’s passionate about telling women’s stories. A graduate of the New School’s creative writing MFA program, she is currently working on a memoir about chronic illness that bridges her experience with those of other female artists and writers.
